Located in Echo Park of Los Angeles is a twenty-four foot tall and fifty foot long bottle art installation referred to as Randyland. Made by a man named not surprising, Randy and located on Lemoyne Street, the main part of the art installation is a depiction of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Randy, inspired by Watts Towers, began working on the art piece back in 2001 and plans to some day have the bottle art wrap entirely around his house. The bottles, some colored, some not, some filled with water, some not, and some filled with colored water are attached to rebar and set up to reflect the morning light of the sun. Some of the glass was blown by Randy, himself, and some was bought from the local Ikea. It is supposedly the largest glass version of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Randy refers to the art piece as Pantasma Gloria, taken from the Greek word phantasmagoria, which means a series of dream like images. Visit around ten am on a sunny day in order to see the bottles in the best light.
