There are Smiley Face Water Towers all over America. The states of Illinois and Michigan certainly have the most Smiley Face Water Towers. Many are tall, yellow, and beam their happiness over the community below.
But California only has one giant Smiley Face structure, and it's not even a tower. Located in Helm, not far from Hanford, there's a tank with a smiley face on it. It's located on the property of a J.R. Simplot site. J.R. Simplot Company is one of the largest privately held food and agribusiness companies in the United States. The Helm site produces high quality fertilizer.
In addition to Illinois, Michigan, and California, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin all also have at least one giant Smiley Face Tower.
